Dirk was a loving husband and father, devoted to his faith, his family, and his work.  At 71 he was full of life, doing his own yard work, remaining active in his church, while still working full-time as an electrical engineer. Following the rapid onset and progression of symptoms in June 2025, he suffered valiantly – quietly letting go of everything that had filled his life, uncomplaining, until his death on February 8, 2026. We, his family, miss him sorely, but are grateful for the legacy of love and devotion to duty he left us.  We treasure the memories that remain.
