Jim proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years,
His military service reflected his deep sense of honor, discipline, and
commitment to others. Following his retirement from the Army, he continued his
life of public service as an Office Manager with the Oshkosh Police Department,
where he faithfully served the community for 18 years. His commitment to
others continued even after his death as he helped further research of this
cruel and rare disease by donating himself. The CJD diagnosis
never took away his sense of humor. More than anything, however, Jim
treasured the time he spent with his family. His greatest happiness came from
being with those he loved, especially his grandchildren, whose lives were
enriched by his guidance, laughter, and unconditional love.
We love and miss you, until we meet again.
