There are many ways of honoring someone. Nicholas J. Zazzera Sr. was someone who deserved to be honored.
There is a tradition called “the money dance,” an event that occurs at many wedding receptions in various cultures. During this dance, guests pay to dance briefly with the bride. Often guests are told that the money will be used for the bride’s and groom’s honeymoon or to give them a little extra cash to begin their lives together. On September 20, 2013, Aaron and Rachel Zazzera broke with tradition and decided to give the money from the dance at their wedding to the CJD Foundation to honor the life of Aaron’s grandfather Nick.
Nick Zazzera was a man who gave to many people in many ways. Those who knew him loved him. To those of us who shared in his life, he passed away far too soon.
Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Uncle Nick, Nicky, Nick — we all miss you every day.
